I wanted to express the feeling of cold, loneliness and hope, as Andersen wrote in his fairy tale. The gameplay is directly related to the narrative, although it does not literally reflect the original fairy tale. Matches are a necessary resource, they are needed to ignite a fire at night, and they also need to be sold during the day to increase the chances of survival, so you have to properly spend mathecs to outlast six nights. I deliberately made game difficult, because losing in fact is the true ending of the game, but it's not fair to just make the game impossible to win so you've got to try harder if you want to save tiny Match

Я хотел передать чувства холода, одиночества и надежды, как писал Андерсен в своей сказке. Игровой процесс напрямую связан с повествованием, хотя и не отражает дословно оригинальную сказку. Спички - необходимый ресурс, они нужны для розжига огня ночью, а также их нужно продавать днём, чтобы увеличить шансы на выживание, поэтому важно правильно их расходовать, иначе не продержаться шесть ночей. Работая над игрой, я намеренно сделал её сложной, потому что проигрыш по-факту и есть каноничное окончание игры, но просто делать игру непроходимой нечестно, поэтому для спасения малышки Спички нужно очень постараться.
